Associate Engineer – Substation and Power Generation
Olsson is an engineering firm that designs solutions to improve the world. As an Associate Engineer, you will support substation design projects, collaborating with experienced engineers and contributing to high-quality project deliverables.
Responsibilities
Assist with design, modeling, and analysis of substation projects
Support senior engineers with drawings, calculations, and studies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Participate in site visits and construction support
Prepare technical reports and project documentation
Grow through hands‑on learning, mentorship, and training
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well with a team
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
Minimum of one year of engineering experience
Strong interest in substation design and high‑voltage electrical infrastructure
Preferred
Engineer Intern (EI) certification
Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
