Prevention Program Facilitator (The Youth Connection)
The Youth Connection is a 501(c)(3) organization that serves youth and families in Metro Detroit, Michigan, seeking a Program Facilitator to work with the community and schools. The role involves facilitating evidence-based programs aimed at substance abuse prevention for youth and their families, while ensuring adherence to established guidelines and collaborating with the SUD Director for credential development.

Responsibilities
Facilitate weekly prevention programs: Botvin LifeSkills, SFP 10-14, I2D2 Fit ‘N’ Fun Family Clubs
Assist in inputting data from the program into databases needed for state and local funders
Represent TYC at prevention program-related meetings and functions as directed
Attend program-related, staff, and board meetings, as required
Assist with TYC-sponsored events, as needed
Perform other duties as may be assigned by the SUD Director and/or the President and CEO
Qualification
Required
bachelor's required
Knowledge and/or experience facilitating youth groups (10 youth or more)
Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and data entry systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality of working information
Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to work as a team member as well as independently
One or more years of demonstrated experience in working/participating with community-based organizations, faith-based organizations, schools and/or civic organizations
Demonstrated capacity to learn rapidly and to apply new skills in a youth/office setting may be considered in lieu of specific experience
Ability to work mornings, occasional evenings and weekends based on programs schedules and TYC-sponsored events
Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
