Quality Technician II

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Cutera quality control procedures, processes, and test methods
Conduct thorough inspections of products or services to ensure they meet established quality standards including, but not limited to, Cutera laser systems, handpieces, and accessories
Perform various testing and analysis procedures, such as dimensional checks, material testing, laser power measurements and laser system and handpiece functional testing
Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement
Prepare and maintain detailed records of quality inspection results
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance product quality
Provide recommendations for adjustments to manufacturing processes or procedures
Create and update quality documentation, including inspection procedures, checklists, and reports
Ensure that all quality-related documentation complies with regulatory standards
Investigate and determine the root causes of quality issues or defects
Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address identified issues
Communicate issues and defects to peers in manufacturing and engineering
Escalate issues to management as appropriate
Provide training to production and quality control staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, quality standards, and company policies
Stay informed about changes in regulations and standards affecting the industry
Verify quality control processes are performed per procedure and communicate discrepancies in procedures and processes to quality engineering and quality management
Other duties as needed or required
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in medical device quality control, manufacturing, or related field
Working knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies
Proficiency in using various quality measurement tools and equipment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and standards
Computer proficiency required in Word, Excel, and FileMaker Pro
