Purchasing Agent
Power Components Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Agent to manage the procurement of goods and services in accordance with company policies. The role involves overseeing purchasing activities, coordinating with managers to maintain inventory levels, and evaluating vendors to ensure the best purchasing decisions are made.

Responsibilities
Purchases goods and services according to the company’s policies and procedures
Coordinates with managers to maintain inventory levels
Evaluates vendors based on price, reliability, capability, and previous transaction history
Works with vendors to negotiate volume and cash transaction discounts, and other available discounts
Ensures that all purchasing documents are complete and accurate and include appropriate and reasonable terms and conditions
Maintains pricing histories and other vendor records
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3-5 years of purchasing duties and responsibilities
Bachelor's degree in purchasing, business or related field required
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven negotiation skills
Thorough understanding of purchasing procedures and policies
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast paced and at times stressful environment
Ability to maintain confidential information
Preferred
Office suite certification preferred
