Responsibilities
Setup, operate and maintain instruments and other equipment used in performing lab tests and experiments
Order supplies and materials as required; maintain records
Setup laboratory media/equipment for demonstrations
May clean instruments, glassware and other lab equipment
Prepare and process laboratory samples for use in assigned tests
Perform other duties as assigned
Annotating videos of play-based assessments to identify and label occurrences of key communicative behaviors in accordance with established coding manual
Training undergraduate research assistant on the coding manual and to reliability
Exporting, organizing, and completing data entry for annotation data
As needed, assisting with data collection sessions, including participant communication, appointment scheduling, and pre/post session tasks
Qualification
Required
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma
Up to two years of job related experience
Experience with Mangold Interact or similar video annotation software
Experience annotating child behaviors in videos
Strong organizational skills, including electronic data organization and management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including comfort around children and their parents
Working knowledge in the use of instrumentation and other lab equipment
Laboratory processes and procedures specific to assigned lab
Skills in inventory management and the use of specialized computer applications
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field
Previous experience working in a research lab setting
