TPWD - Intern I - II - III (Urban Wildlife Intern)

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department is dedicated to managing and conserving Texas's natural and cultural resources. They are seeking an Urban Wildlife Intern to assist with wildlife research and outreach programs under the guidance of Urban Wildlife Biologists.
Government Administration

Responsibilities

Conduct wildlife research in urban areas on public lands
Assist citizen science programs
Establish and monitor trail cameras
Prepare public presentations and workshop
Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with Agency, Division and Department rules, regulations, and procedures

Required

Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited college or university or recent graduate with a bachelor's degree or higher within the last 6 months
Minimum of 18 completed semester credit hours from an accredited college or university at time of application
Must have an overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 grade point scale or 'Pass' on a Pass/Fail system
Must possess a valid state driver's license

Preferred

Current undergraduate or graduate student enrolled in Wildlife Science, Conservation Science, or Environmental Biology, Environmental Science or closely related Bachelor's or Master's degree program
