NETA Level II Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

Perform electrical testing in accordance with NETA ATS and MTS standards
Assist with acceptance, maintenance, and commissioning testing of electrical power systems
Conduct testing on switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, relays, cables, and grounding systems
Execute insulation resistance, power factor, contact resistance, and relay testing
Assist in troubleshooting electrical system issues and failures
Accurately document test results, field notes, and deficiencies
Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and NFPA 70E requirements
Maintain testing equipment and ensure calibration compliance
Support project schedules and assist senior technicians as required
Travel to job sites as needed, including occasional overnight travel

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
NETA Level II Certification required or ability to obtain within a defined timeframe
2-5 years of experience in electrical testing or power systems service
Experience working with medium and low voltage electrical systems
Strong understanding of electrical theory and testing procedures
Ability to read electrical one-lines, schematics, and drawings
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours

Preferred

OSHA 10/30 preferred
NFPA 70E training preferred
