Software Development Snr Manager

Responsibilities
Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Principal and senior software engineers building next-generation AI-powered services and cloud-native applications
Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performance engineering culture grounded in technical excellence and continuous learning
Partner with Product, Infrastructure, and Research teams to shape AI strategy, set technical direction, and deliver on roadmap commitments
Drive the end-to-end delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable AI services—overseeing system design, architectural best practices, security, and operational excellence
Define and enforce outstanding coding standards and development patterns
Guide teams in building and deploying services using modern CI/CD workflows and cloud-native tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), promoting automation and efficiency
Engage directly with enterprise customers and stakeholders to understand requirements, validate solutions, and ensure world-class service delivery
Drive process improvement, agile adoption, and the implementation of standardized toolsets and frameworks to accelerate software development and quality
Mentor and coach engineering staff, supporting career growth and deepening expertise in distributed systems, AI/ML infrastructure, and modern software engineering practices
Practice proactive incident detection, diagnosis, and resolution through technical innovation and operational rigor
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
10+ years of experience in software development, with 3+ years in engineering leadership roles managing high-caliber technical teams
Proven background building and delivering large-scale distributed systems and enterprise-grade, production software (cloud-based experience preferred)
Demonstrated experience with AI/ML application development, LLMs, agents, and/or cloud application monitoring
Familiarity with OCI or major cloud platforms; deep understanding of cloud operations and DevOps practices
Strong technical acumen in system design, distributed architectures, REST APIs, microservices, and service-to-service communications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across functions and engaging enterprise customers
Experience implementing and evolving CI/CD pipelines and container-based deployment strategies
Ability to operate and lead with ambiguity, adapt to change, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience building scalable AI services for cloud environments
Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure and large model serving/monitoring technologies
Interest in observability, reliability, and scalability challenges at cloud scale

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
