Responsibilities

Conduct initial assessment of FOIA requests and perform assigned searches for responsive records under guidance
Draft clear and professional correspondence and response materials for Government review
Apply FOIA exemptions and redactions consistently under supervision and document work accurately
Maintain organized case notes and status updates in the eFOIA system to support team production
Support backlog reduction through standardized processing tasks and quality checks as directed
Coordinate with team leads for clarifications, tasking, and corrections to maintain throughput

Required

3+ years of professional or analytical experience
1+ year of FOIA request processing experience within the last 24 months
Ability to apply FOIA exemptions accurately and consistently
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to draft clear, professional responses
Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database tools
Ability to conduct effective internet and records research to support FOIA search and review activities

Preferred

Associate degree preferred per the solicitation language, with FOIA related training preferred
Additional FOIA experience may substitute for formal FOIA training
