Responsibilities
Receive technical learning opportunities, mentorship, and coaching from world-class technologists and experienced technical managers
Grow your technical expertise in your chosen field and expand your skills in new areas
Experience technically challenging assignments in the power generation industry focusing on areas such as of Systems, Analysis, Design, Reliability, Digital, and Integration & Test
Perform design and analysis of product lines, develop models, solve problems, conduct research, and collaborate with the team and other organizations
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an engineering discipline as listed below
Following majors accepted: Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, Computer Science Engineering
Must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA (without rounding)
Must have the ability to work in the United States for an unlimited amount of time without sponsorship
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have reliable transportation
Must be willing to work in Wilmington, NC
This position requires access to and/or use of information subject to control under the United States Department of Energy's Part 810 Regulations (10 CFR Part 810) and the Export Administration Regulations (15 CFR Parts 730 through 774) (collectively, "U.S. Export Control Laws"). Relocation Assistance: Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible.
Housing Allowance: Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
