Responsibilities
Apply technical expertise and leadership skills in welding and laser operation
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical work instructions
Fabricate and use basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Perform GTAW welding technologies and aluminum welding as required
Pass a practical Weld Test
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED
Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and technical work instructions
Self-sufficient, self-starter and driven
Experience/education in GTAW welding technologies
Experience GTAW aluminum welding
Ability to fabricate and use basic hand tools and precision measuring equipment
Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs
Familiar with Microsoft office suite applications
Must be able to pass a practical Weld Test
Preferred
Some technical coursework, trade school and/or AA technical degree/equivalent
Familiarity with Geometric tolerancing (GD&T)
Exposure to mechanized welding technologies
Experience with GTAW AC and DC aluminum welding
Willingness to learn and carry out detailed instruction
Current GTAW certifications in accordance with AWS D17.1/D1.1,D1.2
Ability to operate material handling equipment. (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.)
Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary
Willingness to develop/learn new welding processes
