Responsibilities
Lead the architectural evolution of SQL Server Tools, building modern, cloud-native developer experiences for millions of users
Improve performance, reliability, and usability across tools that support critical enterprise workloads
Advance DacFx by integrating schema modeling, deployment automation, and CI/CD workflows into VS Code and Visual Studio extensions
Deliver new capabilities in DacFx to simplify and scale database CI/CD for cloud developers
Collaborate with customers and partner teams to evolve DevOps and database lifecycle automation into real product features

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python + OR equivalent experience
4+ years of demonstrated experience in designing, building, and shipping high-quality, commercial software
Demonstrated expertise in C# and .NET, with deep experience building systems-level libraries or frameworks
Proficiency with T-SQL and a solid understanding of SQL Server fundamentals
Proven ability to lead the design and delivery of complex projects with multiple engineers
Familiarity with DevOps workflows and cloud data services (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Azure SQL)
Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript and building developer tools (e.g., VS Code extensions, web-based UIs)
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
