Mid Level Structural Engineer
Responsibilities
Performing structural calculations for the design and analysis of concrete, steel, masonry, wood, and light gauge building structures under the supervision of senior engineers
Assist the senior engineering and drafting staff with production of construction drawings, specifications, and other project deliverables
Assist the engineering staff with field visits during construction and field measuring
Develop construction documents and calculation packages with limited oversight for smaller projects
Qualification
Required
4 – 8 years experience
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration
Experience designing building structures and foundations using steel, concrete, cold-formed steel, wood, and masonry
Working knowledge of Florida Building Code (or International Building Code) and ASCE 7
Working Knowledge of Structural Engineering Software such as RISA 3D or RAM Structural
Working Knowledge of Revit Structural and Autocad
Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong Organizational skills
Strong time management skills
Strong Professional Skills (punctual, attendance, conduct, and responsiveness)
Work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and clients
Knowledge of English language including spelling, grammar, punctuation and vocabulary
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
Preferred
Experience with RISA Suite of Products
Experience with Enercalc
Experience producing construction documents
Technical writing skills
