3+ years expIEW Construction Group is a Civil/Heavy Highway contractor seeking a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the Project Manager and providing guidance and engineering support in the construction and administration of varied, complex projects.
Construction
Responsibilities
Support Project Manager in all efforts during construction through completion of project
Quality control ensuring compliance with plans & specifications
Maintain schedule and budgets & review project costs
Review and execute material purchase orders
Coordinate delivery of materials, scheduling of equipment/operators and subcontractors
Setup field office, yard, storage etc. for IEW & Owners as required
Generate work schedules in required formats
Coordinate required work force
Visit job site as necessary
Schedule and attend applicable project meetings
Other duties as assigned
Work with Union halls to conform to the company EEO standards
Attend operation meetings as required
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
College degree: B.S. Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment
3 years working knowledge of civil construction a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Preferred
Knowledge of heavy construction and bridge preferred
