Responsibilities
Program, Set-up and Operate Wire EDM to meet print requirements in an efficient and safe manner. Run multiple machines as workload allows
Set-ups to utilize accepted standard machinist (toolmaker) practices
Perform appropriate inspections to ensure quality requirements are being met
Follow company policies
Perform required preventative maintenance checks (operators provide basic daily/weekly checks, maintenance performs more in-depth checks at other intervals)
Participate/engage in continuous improvement efforts
Work with Engineering and/or Management to implement innovative ideas to improve productivity, quality and safety
Keep work area clean and organized
Qualification
Required
Minimum 5 years of experience programming, setting-up and operating Wire EDM
Must have solid understanding of GDT and blueprint reading
Must have good working knowledge of accepted machinist practices to set-up and fixture parts being machined
Must have good attendance
Must have a good attitude
Preferred
Experience with Fanuc machines & controls beneficial
Knowledge of Esprit helpful
Knowledge of Sinker EDM helpful
