Audit Manager - Small Public Accounting Firm
Kimberlin Company, PLLC is a small, growing CPA firm providing audit and assurance services to a diverse client base. They are seeking an experienced CPA for a hands-on Audit Manager role to manage audits from planning through issuance and lead audit staff while maintaining client relationships.
Responsibilities
Own audit engagements end-to-end with minimal layers of review
Plan, manage, and review financial statement audits
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned audit clients
Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors
Review workpapers, financial statements, and audit documentation
Identify and resolve technical accounting and auditing issues
Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and staffing
Be hands-on with complex audit areas when necessary
Assist with improving audit processes and firm workflows
Qualification
Required
Active CPA license (required)
5+ years of public accounting audit experience
Prior experience managing audit engagements
Experience supervising and reviewing staff work
Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred
Experience with 401(k) audits, employee benefit plan audits, or ERISA audits
Experience working in a small or mid-sized CPA firm
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently
