Staff Research Associate Pediatrics

Responsibilities
Support an interdisciplinary research program focused on pediatric immune dysregulation and critical illness
Combine unique patient cohorts with state-of-the-art immune profiling and functional genomics to identify causal pathways and actionable biology
Contribute to rigorous, high-impact research that is directly connected to human disease
Qualification
Required
BA/BS in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology or a related science and one or more years of recent, directly related work experience, utilizing the techniques or methods required by the position; and/or equivalent experience/training
Experience in a relevant laboratory setting, preferably working with human specimens
Proficiency with several standard cell and molecular biology techniques such as sterile technique and mammalian cell culture, PCR/qPCR, western immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry sample preparation; comfort following established protocols and documenting work carefully
Strong written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Experience isolating and culturing primary cells from human specimens, including blood and tissue
Experience with sequencing-based assays (e.g., single-cell RNA-seq and/or next-generation sequencing library preparation); familiarity with basic sequencing data QC/analysis workflows is a plus
Proficiency in graphic design or figure preparation (e.g., Affinity Design, Illustrator, or similar software)
