The Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc. The Instructor will provide academic support and mentorship to high school students, assisting them with homework and guiding them through their educational journey.

Responsibilities

Provide high school students an individualize and/or in a small group setting homework help assistance and tutoring in the following subject matter (Preferably in STEM)

Mathematics (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus)

Science (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

Other subjects as needed

Provide academic guidance and mentorship to fellow students as they navigate high school and into adulthood

Assist with administrative aspects of the CPC programming through data entry, compiling, filing and organizing participant folders

Assist with workshop, case management, special events, field trips and volunteering events

Fulfill other related duties as outlined by the Multisite Director

Qualification

Required

Prior experience working with high school youth in an after-school setting

Strong work ethic and demonstrated passion for working with diverse populations, especially immigrant and low-income communities

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Knowledge of MS office applications and virtual platform such as Zoom, Teams, and Webex

Preferred

Fluency in Arabic/Chinese/Spanish a plus
