Responsibilities
Work with project teams to analyze and interpret user requirements and propose effective technical solutions
Lead development activities for assigned applications and enhancements
Apply expertise in HTML and style sheets with a focus on accessibility functionality and compliance
Design and develop user interface, business logic, data access, and reporting components based on requirements
Propose database designs and collaborate with database administrators for approval
Assist with data migration activities from existing databases
Develop software using VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server
Utilize Visual Studio as the primary development platform
Adhere to established coding, architecture, and database standards
Use Azure DevOps for source control, work item management, testing activities, and documentation versioning
Estimate effort required for development tasks and provide accurate status updates to the project manager
Conduct thorough unit and regression testing for all developed code and resolve identified defects
Present complex technical concepts to non‑technical users in a clear and understandable manner
Prepare documentation and provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to IT staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Extensive experience designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining complex web‑based applications
Strong proficiency with VB.NET, ASP.NET, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server
Experience working with Visual Studio for full lifecycle development
Knowledge of HTML and CSS with a focus on accessibility and compliance practices
Experience analyzing requirements, designing application components, and creating detailed technical specifications
Ability to lead development tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
Strong understanding of coding standards, database design principles, and application architecture
Experience conducting unit and regression testing and resolving defects
Experience working within Azure DevOps for source control and work item tracking
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders
Ability to mentor and provide knowledge transfer to other IT staff
