PC Technical Specialist II

RIGID is seeking a PC Technical Specialist II to serve as a Level 2 support resource within their IT department, providing hands-on troubleshooting and systems support for approximately 140 users across multiple offices. The role involves advanced technical support for Windows-based PCs and assisting with IT operations while collaborating closely with senior IT leadership.
Construction

Responsibilities

Provide advanced technical support for Windows-based PCs, laptops, and peripherals
Troubleshoot escalated issues from Level 1 support (hardware, software, OS, networking)
Support users both onsite and remotely across multiple office locations
Diagnose and resolve issues related to printers, scanners, mobile devices, and conferencing systems
Perform PC imaging, deployment, upgrades, and replacements
Assist with administration of Microsoft 365 (users, licensing, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint)
Support Active Directory, Azure AD / Entra ID, and group policies
Assist with endpoint management, patching, antivirus, and security tools
Support VPN, basic networking, and connectivity troubleshooting
Document systems, procedures, and recurring issues
Provide overlap coverage with Level 1 technician and IT Manager
Handle tickets independently and prioritize workload appropriately
Assist with onboarding/offboarding of employees (accounts, hardware, access)
Participate in IT projects such as system upgrades, rollouts, and process improvements
Escalate complex issues appropriately while owning resolution through completion

Required

3–5 years of experience in desktop support, help desk, or IT technician roles
Strong experience supporting Windows operating systems (Windows 10/11)
Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration
Solid understanding of basic networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, LAN/WAN)
Experience supporting users across multiple locations
Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Preferred

Experience in a small-to-mid-size IT department
Exposure to Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, or endpoint management tools
Experience with ticketing systems and IT documentation
Familiarity with security best practices and MFA
Prior experience mentoring or assisting junior technicians
