Responsibilities

Coordinate and host events for the larger Graduate Commons community
Support and motivate resident and community advisor staff
Support Program Manager efforts across the portfolio
Respond to student emergencies during business hours and escalate as needed
Develop connections with faculty, staff and students across the university
Communicate with Property Management Office regarding maintenance work orders and facilities requests
Coordinate programming in collaboration with Faculty Directors, Program Manager and Resident/Community Advisors
Assist with coordination of meetings, programs, and other programs for residents and groups
Operate and process all room reservations on the event calendar to ensure cohesion across the portfolio
Provide website and social media updates and support
Process and maintain financial records and records on program participation levels
Evaluate the effectiveness of programming efforts and adjust programming plan
Utilize appropriate communication tools and strategies to promote involvement in programs, including newsletter content creation
Act as first point of contact in emails, phone calls, etc. for GCP and support as needed
Participate in appropriate meetings and events across campus
The PC will maintain a close relationship with both the HUH Operations and Leasing teams to ensure correct information is passed to residents, including policies and procedures, common room reservations, move-in and move-out information and any emergency notifications
Contribute to the overall success and growth of the Graduate Commons Program by performing all other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's Degree required
Minimum of one year of experience in college student curriculum/programming, student services/events or student affairs; experience working with graduate student populations a plus
Ability to move freely between properties
Ability to lift 25 lbs to assist with event set up
Excellent interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to maintain and establish positive working relationships
Possess high energy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking
The ability to think critically, strong problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, customer-service oriented environment
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service
Familiarity with MS Office systems and basic understanding of database and calendaring systems
