Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and develop a global team of quality professionals through regular 1:1s, performance management, career development, and succession planning
Manage the Product Evaluation Request (PER) process end-to-end, including intake, triage, investigation, disposition, and closure of customer-reported product issues
Oversee the Change Control Document (CCD) process globally, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and initiating product and process reviews tied to change control activities
Manage the Material Test Report (MTR) process to ensure compliance with certification requirements and customer specifications
Serve as the primary quality interface with customers, sales teams, and application engineering on product quality concerns and resolution plans
Lead beta testing efforts for new product introductions and participate as a required member of NPD core teams to validate quality requirements prior to launch
Develop triage processes to assess business impact of product issues, including traceability analysis for affected installations and inventory
Coordinate containment actions, field alerts, product holds, and risk-based responses as needed
Partner with laboratory leadership to prioritize testing and analysis supporting product evaluations
Coordinate inspections and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and Applications teams to implement corrective and preventive actions
Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track PER volume, aging, resolution rates, corrective action effectiveness, and trending quality issues
Participate in product design reviews focused on DFMEA, PFMEA, mistake proofing, and advanced quality planning methods
Lead and support root cause investigations for field failures using structured methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, and DMAIC
Execute special projects as assigned by Quality Assurance leadership

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required (Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial preferred)
10+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or related manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience managing and developing teams, including coaching and performance management
Strong experience leading root cause analysis and corrective action processes (8D, DMAIC, 5-Why, etc.)
Proven customer-facing communication skills with experience interfacing directly with customers on quality matters
Demonstrated ability to present clearly to executive and senior leadership audiences
Strong strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making capability
Proficiency with electronic tools and systems including Word, Excel, Power BI, and Minitab
Ability to prioritize competing demands and operate with minimal supervision
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10–20%)

Preferred

Advanced Engineering degree
Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) platforms
Familiarity with statistical methods including control charts, capability analysis, and Pareto trending
ASQ certifications such as CQE, CQM, or Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience supporting complex engineered or industrial product lines
