Responsibilities
Keeping the engine running: You’ll monitor and troubleshoot production jobs across IBM Mainframe and mid-range environments
Mastering the Schedule: You’ll use Control-M to keep jobs moving—submitting, cancelling, and monitoring to ensure everything stays on track
Code Promotion: Working with developers to move JCL, PROCS, and COBOL elements through Endevor
Problem Solving: Managing incident tickets via Cherwell and communicating clearly with team members to resolve issues fast
Hands-on Ops: Running high-speed commercial printers for large-volume jobs and managing the mainframe console
Qualification
Required
2+ years recently in IBM Mainframe operations
Proficient with Control-M
Proficient with Endevor
Experience in a data center environment
Familiarity with incident management tools like Cherwell (or similar)
Experience operating industrial printers (like the Canon varioPRINT)
Strong communication skills
Enjoys paired programming and sharing knowledge with the team
