Responsibilities
Define, implement, and maintain effective IT policies, processes, and systems with focus on optimizing business results and ensuring continuous improvement
Builds a strong and productive team, clearly defines expectations, ensures comprehensive training and required tools, and provides consistent feedback and development of all team members
Evaluates performance and results of the IT department, progress to goals, and budget impact. Responsible for strategy and process adjustments to best fulfill objectives
Engages in resolution of complex issues, escalated complaints, and other challenges. Effectively coordinates and collaborates with other department leaders, client's president, agents, vendors, and other parties as needed
Build and maintain positive business relationships and ensures the highest level of service from the IT team to all stakeholders
Stay current and updated regarding emerging technologies and industry best practices
Actively engages in the Leadership Team, collaborating with other leaders to define and execute business strategies to ensure positive and sustainable growth of the organization and brand
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent education and work experience is required
Minimum 10 years of experience in IT management and department leadership is required
Demonstrated proficiency and depth of knowledge of AS400, with very strong experience in RPG/LE/Free-format, SQLRPGLE, and CL programming
Strong data analysis skills, particularly with iSeries DB2 and physical files
Expertise with PC tools including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, using exceptional project management and organizational skills
Excellent in identifying business needs and delivering effective technical solutions
Demonstrated leadership and team management skill set aligned with SGA/HIC workplace culture and environment
Ability to cultivate and lead an effective team to achieve outcomes
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Demonstrated competency in developing and maintaining excellent business relationships, consistently handling all interactions with a high level of respect and professionalism
Conducts all activities with integrity in alignment with principles and values
Preferred
General experience in Networking, Windows, and Linux is preferred
