Responsibilities

Drive design improvement with product development team informed by customer and Contract Manufacturer feedback and data
Provide oversight and guidance to contract manufacturers during all phases of new product introduction and driving process discipline within AWS and vendors teams
Work with quality team to improve quality metrics at contract manufacturers/vendors
Root cause customer impacting issues and drive resolution
Work with Contract Manufacturers to drive cycle time improvements leading to realized cost reductions
Improve processes to simplify and drive efficiencies in the supply chain
Provide guidance to program management teams and leadership to drive strategic business decisions regarding contract manufacturing supply base

Required

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
10+ years leading industrialization of electrical and mechanical products
Demonstrated track record of driving manufacturing documentation creation including assembly drawings and ingestion into Product Lifecycle Manager
Experience validating design through prototype builds, pre-production builds and first-of-kind builds and driving manufacturability changes

Preferred

Experience performing complex business case analysis to justify technical decisions and presenting the justification to management in a high-level review
Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical engineering or equivalent
Experience with the project management of technical projects
Experience driving supply chain improvement projects
Working knowledge of various ERP systems to provide guidance to contract manufacturers
Knowledge of typical data center designs and architectures
