The Information Security Analyst II will analyze and respond to day-to-day security incidents, maintain information security systems, and implement policies to ensure data integrity and employee safety.

Responsibilities

Participates and coordinates security investigations and compliance reviews, as requested by department management or authorized business units
Proactively monitors security/audit reports, logs, and monitoring systems for unusual events
Develops information security operations documentation, including but not limited to incident response plans, monitoring procedures, incident reports, and other organizational documentation
Works with information security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements, document risks, and mitigate accepted risks
Reports to management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance
Plays an advisory role in application development or acquisition projects to assess security requirements, controls, and risks, and to ensure that security controls are implemented as planned
Participates in implementation and management of enterprise-class security solutions
Advises Systems Administrators on normal and exception-based processing of security authorization requests
Provides second-tier support for information security incursions, providing elevated response, mitigation, and incident documentation; provides updates to management as necessary and prudent
Participates in security investigations and compliance reviews, as required for necessary audits
Researches and assesses new threats and security alerts and recommends remedial actions
Maintains an awareness of existing and proposed security-standard-setting groups, state and federal legislation and regulations pertaining to information security
Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management
Maintain quality standards on all projects

Required

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology/Systems, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or related field and a minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology, with preference for security incident response. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 9 years' relevant experience
CompTia Security+
Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
