Business Development Specialist

Responsibilities
Work with Sales partner to process large B2B lead lists sourced from industry events and other channels (1,000+ leads per batch)
Clean and validate raw lead lists by removing low-fit companies
Verify company fit based on size, revenue, industry, and problem relevance
Ensure lists align with the ideal customer profile (ICP)
Reduce manual effort through process optimization and tooling where possible
Segment cleaned leads into 5–10 focused cohorts by industry, use cases, or business challenges
Build ~150–200 high-quality leads per segment to support tailored outreach
Identify common pain points and buy triggers for each segment
Develop segment-specific messaging and intro campaigns referencing: Shared industry events, Segment-specific pain points, Relevant business context
Build scalable templates to balance personalization with volume
Collaborate with marketing/sales to refine positioning and value messaging
Run structured outbound campaigns using tools such as HubSpot, Lemlist, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, or phone
Manage email sequences (5–7 touchpoints) and LinkedIn engagement flows
Ensure high deliverability, personalization, and response quality (avoid spam tactics)
Track engagement signals: Email opens, Clicks, Replies, Call interest
Continuously narrowing the funnel from the cold leads to warm, qualified prospects
Maintain a shortlist of high intent leads ready for sales engagement
Hand over warm, problem-fit, and responsive prospects to Sales partner for closing
Provide context, engagement history, and insights to support high-quality discovery conversations
Focus on conversion probability, not just lead volume
Build and improve repeatable lead processing workflows
Produce weekly reporting: Priority lead lists, Engagement insights, Conversion trends
Qualification
Required
Ideal candidate will have minimum 5+ years of experience in B2B lead strategy, growth, demand generation, sales ops, or revenue operations
Strong data cleaning, segmentation, and prioritization skills
Experience running email & outbound campaigns at scale
Familiarity with CRM & outreach tools (HubSpot, Lemlist, Apollo, Sales Navigator, etc.)
Ability to analyze engagement data and optimize conversion funnel
Strong business judgment to assess fit, intent, and probability to close
Preferred
Experience in mid-market B2B or services/consulting
Exposure to Process Optimization, or Funnel Analytics
Comfort with automation tools or workflow optimization
