Responsibilities
Snowflake Administration
Create and configure new Snowflake accounts as needed
Design, implement, and support replication processes to ensure business continuity
Design, implement, and support inbound and outbound data-sharing solutions
Design, implement, and support role-based access controls (RBAC) to properly secure enterprise data
Monitor and optimize cost and performance across Snowflake accounts
Assist application teams with troubleshooting and performance tuning
Implement database changes in production environments as required
Linux Support
Provide first-level Linux administration support for Snowflake application servers
Architecture & Platform Support
Partner with enterprise data platform teams and interfacing application teams
Design scalable, resilient, and maintainable Snowflake solutions
Support integration with enterprise cloud infrastructure
Qualification
Required
Senior/Seasoned DBA background
5+ years of hands-on Snowflake administration and support experience
Candidates with less than 5 years of Snowflake experience will be considered if they have strong DBA experience with platforms such as Teradata or Oracle, along with recent Snowflake exposure
Experience working in banking or other highly regulated industries preferred
Strong understanding of foundational cloud concepts
Experience building solutions in Azure
Azure Knowledge Should Include: Private DNS Zones, Blob Storage (including storage tiers), Private Endpoints, Private Link (especially as it relates to Snowflake connectivity and security)
DevOps & Automation Experience
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible
Experience with code versioning tools (e.g., Git)
Preferred
Experience working in banking or other highly regulated industries preferred
