Responsibilities
Assists manufacturing in verifying that the quality work instructions are being followed as indicated in the procedures. This includes comparison and verification to customer specifications, CAD drawings, Print Cards and approved samples
Conduct daily quality audits for product conformity against the supplied specifications, including fit form and function of the product
Updates daily non-conforming logs
Conduct daily quality audits on specs for completeness of information required from the machine operators and supervisors
Conduct daily quality audits as a visual inspection of the products on stacking, stretch wrapping, number of strapping, pallet size, quantity per unit and proper dunnage
Communicates any non-conformity or questionable products to the production machine operators, assistants and shift supervisors
Monitors, communicates and updates status of the products in quarantine in the computer operating system
When needed, performs testing, to ensure quality of edge crush, pin, basis weight, etc
Analyzes and logs reports on any testing to ensure adherence to specifications
Conducts quality system training as necessary and verifies the effectiveness
Assumes Responsibility for the effective preparation, maintenance, and reporting of internal quality inspections and analyses
Identifies, prepares and maintains the daily quality audit reports for the quality control team
Analyzes results of the daily quality audit records and makes recommendations for the continual process improvement
Responsible for pulling samples of products and copy of specification sheet that requires improvement and/or change
Responsible for maintaining sample room of both conforming and non-conforming products, including filing and purging activities
Follow-ups and verifies the effectiveness of the change
Provides training sheets at the time training is conducted
Obtains the training sheets that were completed by the trainees
Plays an active role on the quality management teams within the organization
Conducts quality checks and verifies non-conformity products at customer site when requested and reports on any and all findings
Conducts audits for Food Security, Good Manufacturing Practices, and ISO on specified frequency and is responsible for entering the data into the system
Conducts audits of calibration equipment at each machine and is responsible for documenting and reporting of these audits
Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with company personnel, departments, and management
Follow up and advises the Quality Control Manager regarding the status and result of pending non-conformity issues
Leads and participate in sorting, inspection or rework activities to ensure compliance to specification and/or regulatory requirements
Advises shift supervisor, department managers and all involved personnel on non-conformity findings
Ensures the timely communication and processes of reports, findings and other documentation
Ensures that all employees are well informed of quality system procedures and any changes
Attends and participates in meetings and committees as appropriate
Ensures and monitors supplier requirement by ISO standards are met
Ensures that the Company's professional reputation is maintained
Ensures appropriate levels of confidentiality regarding Company operations
Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
Stays informed of trends and changes in the quality control and other necessary areas
Completes projects/tasks as assigned
Work on additional projects as assigned by the Quality Manager
Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes

Qualification
Required
Fluent in English
High school diploma; or minimum of 5 years related experience in manufacturing and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
