Responsibilities
Lead and complete engineering projects based on customer requirements, market demand, and competitive analysis
Design and evaluate mechanical systems using principles of mechanics, hydraulics, and material science
Develop and test feasibility models and validation methods
Research and improve manufacturing and assembly methods
Design and modify equipment used for fabrication, assembly, and installation
Drive cost reduction and process improvement initiatives
Apply lean enterprise principles to optimize performance and efficiency
Develop and execute testing methods to ensure product performance and reliability
Confirm fabrication, assembly, and installation standards
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations
Prepare detailed product and performance reports
Maintain system and product databases
Provide technical expertise and respond to internal and external inquiries
Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and leadership teams
Continuously enhance technical knowledge through training and professional development
Contribute to team goals and overall business objectives
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel and design software systems
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
Functional understanding of cost accounting
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to drive process improvement and support lean initiatives
Preferred
Heavy haul trailer engineering experience
Heavy equipment engineering experience
