Program Coordinator, Sections & Student Chapt
American Welding Society is seeking a Program Coordinator for Sections and Student Chapters to provide support and resources for effective operation. This role involves managing communication requests, coordinating newsletters and webinars, and assisting with member inquiries while maintaining activity logs and supporting charter processes.

Responsibilities
Process requests for communication submitted by District, Section, and Student Chapter leaders, including acknowledging incoming requests, preparing communication for distribution, and distributing to the intended audience(s) as well as scheduling and facilitation of online meetings
Conduct ongoing research and implementation of contemporary communication styles to enhance engagement of target audiences
Update Section websites
Coordinate monthly newsletters and webinars
Support AWS Section and Student Chapter charter and disbandment processes
Administer the AWS Section and Student Chapter Annual Reporting process and maintain activity logs
Support annual rebate and anniversary payment process applied to active AWS Sections and Student Chapters
Administer annual AWS Section Chair and Student Chapter Advisor gift program
Assist Manager, Sections and Student Chapters with day-to-day activities pertaining to AWS Sections and Student Chapters, to include but not limited to: 1. Updating Section and Student Chapter Officer information in primary database. 2. Coordinating distribution of materials requested by AWS District Directors, Sections, and Student Chapters
Coordinate Section library updates

Qualification
Required

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to set priorities, make calls, organize meetings, and execute work plans and timelines on multiple projects
Excellent English writing, editing, and proofing skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong interpersonal skills, in order to effectively facilitate, collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders to serve a diverse set of volunteers and customers across our programs
Ability to analyze, synthesize, creatively solve problems, and make decisions
Ability to prioritize and manage time-sensitive tasks
Strong computer skills (PC-based network environment, MS Windows/Office, Outlook)
Proficiency with Adobe software, Microsoft Dynamics CRM or related CRM/AMS (basic functions), and SharePoint
Ability to run a web-based meeting (Teams, GoToMeeting, Zoom, or other)
Ability to collaborate with the team using technology (audio and video conferencing, collaborative software)
Self-starter with a strong internal drive to initiate projects and achieve results without constant supervision
Ability to work independently
Experience supporting a professional organization/association/society
Bilingual – Spanish language proficiency
Preferred
Experience managing or supporting volunteers
Experience in a professional office environment
Experience in communications management
Experience working with non-profit board members and/or volunteers
