Responsibilities

Lead visual and front‑end design efforts, using tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Bootstrap, React, and Angular
Design, develop, test, and maintain websites, web applications, integrations, and digital experiences using modern front‑end and back‑end technologies
Create accessible, standards‑based, and scalable code that meets WCAG/508 compliance and supports UCF’s marketing and communications needs
Collaborate with designers, marketers, IT teams, and vendors to plan projects, document processes, and optimize CMS, CRM, and infrastructure systems
Manage and enhance primary web properties, overseeing code quality, structure, SEO, structured data, media, and performance in an agile, collaborative environment
Develop and support APIs and web‑service integrations that connect websites with other data systems and enhance dynamic content delivery
Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to micro‑applications, personalized experiences, and AI‑assisted troubleshooting or rapid solutioning

Required

Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience; or High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6)

Preferred

Experience developing modern, responsive digital experiences using front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, and WordPress/Gutenberg
Strong visual and front‑end design skills, with proficiency in tools like Figma, Photoshop, and Illustrator to create polished, on‑brand interfaces
Background supporting enterprise‑level or customer‑focused websites, ideally within higher education, agency settings, or other regulated industries
Experience working with cloud technologies, such as Azure or AWS, to build or maintain modern web applications, prototypes, or integrations
Commitment to accessibility and usability, including familiarity with WCAG and Section 508 compliance standards
Ability to develop APIs or integrate data‑driven components to support dynamic content and enhance system‑to‑system connections
Ability to leverage AI tools to troubleshoot issues, streamline workflows, or rapidly generate solutions for web development challenges
