Responsibilities
Own features end-to-end - from database schema to API handler to React component to polish
When the team says 'merchant landing page conversion is down 8% - figure out why and fix it,' you dig into the analytics, identify the drop-off, design the solution, build it, and deploy it behind a feature flag
Prototype on localhost. Make it fast. Deploy to production behind a feature flag. Get user feedback. Iterate
When you see something broken - a UI bug, a slow query, unclear copy - you fix it
Qualification
Required
3-7 years building and shipping production software
Strong across the full stack: React/TypeScript frontend, Node.js/Python backend, PostgreSQL or equivalent
Has shipped features that real users depend on - not just internal tools or prototypes
AI-augmented development workflow (Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent) as daily practice
Comfortable with rapid iteration cycles and production debugging
Preferred
Has built a product from scratch (side project, startup, or internal 0-to-1)
E-commerce, fintech, or consumer product background
Experience integrating LLMs or AI services into production applications
Former founder or early-stage startup engineer
Can point to a feature you shipped that moved a business metric
