Solutions Architect
Yorktel is a leading video managed services partner with over 35 years of experience, seeking a Solutions Architect to support their Sales Team. This role involves developing technical solutions, attending customer meetings, and ensuring the successful execution of projects through collaboration with various departments.
Responsibilities
Responsible to develop system design drawings including, but not limited to audiovisual system diagrams and schematic drawings; architectural diagrams, drawings, and sketches; Design/Build and Bid/Build specifications; and operational capabilities narratives, etc
Must have strong technical knowledge of Cisco WebEx Systems, Microsoft Systems, Poly Systems, Zoom Systems, Crestron XIO Systems, Pexip and other audio and video technologies
Must be capable of properly designing Cisco WebEx, Microsoft, Poly, Pexip Microsoft Interop, and hybrid infrastructure solutions. Must also be able to read and correctly interpret and produce multiple formats of technical specifications, schematic drawings, and architectural diagrams
Experience and/or strong working knowledge of multiple videoconference and voice collaboration platforms
Provide technical support to the sales team in a comprehensive, thorough, detailed and time sensitive manner
Intensive interface with clients and job sites to document customer requirements and job site conditions
Provide and document customer design based on the client requirements and job site conditions
Work directly with clients, architects, consultants and staff throughout the design development and delivery process with the support of the Manager of Solution Architects
Develop Statement of Work for each job based on system design and customer requirements
Develop system design drawings including, but not limited to, drawings and sketches; Design/Build and Bid/Build specifications; and operational capabilities narratives, etc
Develop accurate job cost estimates for each job
Provide technical response to the customer RFP/RFQ/RFI
Be capable of working effectively and efficiently with support from other members of the engineering team
Maintain complete and accurate project documentation and records
Communicate effectively with internal staff, client representatives, cooperative trades, and subcontractors
Effectively coordinate and manage multiple system design projects simultaneously
Be responsible for successfully completing assignments on time and within budget
Develop and conform to company technical standards and practices
Extensive experience with designing custom solutions, architectural and facility concerns and solutions
Qualification
Required
3-5 years' experience in a customer design solution service area
BA Degree or equivalent experience in a collaboration technical subject is desirable
Use of software applications (Microsoft Office) in conjunction with desktop publishing and manipulation graphs, spreadsheets, etc
Knowledge of cloud services such as WebEx, Teams, Zoom and Pexip
Knowledge of Media Services software is a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Visio
Bi-Lingual capability is a plus
Knowledge of H.323 Endpoints, Gateways, MCU's, and Gatekeepers
Knowledge of IP networks, components, or associated certifications
Vendor specific certifications in the IT Industry (i.e., Cisco CCNA, Cisco CCNP Collab, Poly Infrastructure, Professional Pexip Tech Expert, Microsoft Certified with core Video and Voice certifications are a strong plus) and Audio/Visual industry
InfoComm CTS certification with Advanced CTS-D certification desirable
Certifications with AV Industry leaders desirable (Extron, AMX, Crestron, Biamp, etc.)

Must be willing to apply for security clearances (clearances may be required to work at certain customer locations)
May require off/afterhours support for maintenance work
