Responsibilities
Architecting and managing enterprise compute, storage, virtualization, and core services
Overseeing lifecycle management (capacity planning, upgrades, performance tuning, and decommissioning)
Providing Tier-3 support and root cause analysis
Implementing high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
Partnering with cybersecurity on vulnerability management, EDR integration, and audit readiness
Enforcing hardening standards and privileged access controls
Automating provisioning through scripting and Infrastructure as Code
Maintaining thorough documentation with structured knowledge transfer to operations teams
Qualification
Required
10+ years Network Engineering Experience
Virtualization Experience (VMWare/Hyper-V)
Cloud infrastructure operations experience
5+ years Cyber Networking experience
Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Aruba, Juniper
Hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, logging, monitoring
Advanced experience with networking, routing, switching, and wifi protocols
TCP/IP
BGP/OSPF/EIGRP
VLAN, STP, LACP
Firewall and secure remote access experience with things like NAT, policy design, site-to-site, remote access VPN
Network segmentation
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint/Cloud, Sentinel/Log Analytics, or similar tools
NetScope, or could have come from an environment where NetScope was implemented
Azure first or hybrid Azure experience with landing zones, governance, network identity (already have the Azure tool-kit experience)
Automation experience working with tools such as Powershell, Bash, Python
Terraform, Bicep/ARM
DevOps tools such as Ansible, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps
Disaster Recovery experience
Preferred
Experience supporting regulated environments which may have government regulations with ITAR and such
Someone who takes initiative as a consultant, and can address networking and/or cyber issues, as well as communicate with the rest of the team what they are working on in real-time
Wants to and willing to document deliverables, configurations, dependencies, security controls, and network design decisions
Willing to document DR Failover procedures
