Senior Application Support– (WebSphere Commerce (WCS)/SRE) :: Springfield, MO(Onsite)
Teal Insurance Management is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) / L2 Application Support Engineer to provide operational and production support for their mission-critical WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) 8.x e-commerce platform. This role requires strong troubleshooting capabilities, proactive system monitoring, and rapid incident response to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of the online commerce ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Respond to production incidents and alerts within defined SLA timelines
Perform root cause analysis for application performance and functionality issues
Troubleshoot:
Order processing and checkout failures
Payment gateway integration issues
Shopping cart and session management problems
Product catalog and inventory synchronization issues
Cache invalidation and pricing discrepancies
Analyze application and server logs to identify recurring patterns
Coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors during major incidents
Document incidents, known errors, and resolution steps
Monitor WCS application health using APM tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Nagios, or similar
Track KPIs including response time, throughput, availability, and error rates
Respond to performance and capacity alerts during peak traffic periods
Monitor scheduler jobs and batch processes for completion and efficiency
Perform proactive system health checks and preventive maintenance
