Responsibilities
Technical Leadership: Lead technical initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation
System Architecture: Design and build advanced backend systems, microservices, and APIs using Java, Scala, or similar languages
Performance Optimization: Optimize services for high throughput, low latency, and reliability
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including iOS client teams, Data Engineering, and Product to ensure seamless integration
Mentorship: Mentor junior and senior engineers, conducting code reviews and promoting best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
At least 2 years of Information Technology experience
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Austin, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel to project locations

Experience in Core Java
Strong proficiency in Java, and often Scala or Python
Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, microservices, and distributed system design
Understanding of big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop) and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP)
