Responsibilities
Develop site designs (grading, drainage, utilities, paving) with minimal oversight
Create and finalize designs of water, storm sewer, and sanitary sewer systems using local criteria and common engineering design equations
Produce complete plan sets and technical exhibits with minimal oversight
Prepare drainage studies, utility analyses, hydraulic designs, and other supporting calculations
Identify design conflicts and propose practical solutions proactively
Incorporate constructability considerations into design decisions
Coordinate on technical topics with clients, city staff, consultants, and contractors
Review work completed by Design Engineers or Design staff and provide feedback
Ensure timely responses to city comments, internal requests, and coordination
Assist with construction administration documentation such as RFIs, clarifications and product submittals
Support PMs with submittals, documentation, and schedule coordination
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Required: Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification
2-5 years of relevant civil engineering experience with focus on site development
Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and Civil Engineering concepts
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Proficiency in civil engineering design software and tools
Preferred
Professional Engineering (PE) license or working toward licensure
