Responsibilities

Assist with configuration identification, including managing and organizing configuration items (CIs), documentation baselines, and version control
Support change management activities, including preparing change requests, participating in technical reviews, and updating configuration documentation
Maintain configuration status accounting records, tracking changes across multiple systems and environments
Help coordinate Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings: agenda preparation, minutes, and action tracking
Work with engineering, cybersecurity, and operations teams to maintain system integrity and compliance
Assist with audits and inspections to ensure configuration compliance with Air Force and contract standards
Learn and apply CM tools and processes such as Git, SharePoint, Jira, Confluence, or military/contract‑specific equivalents
Perform documentation, artifact management, and quality assurance tasks within system engineering processes

Required

Currently serving U.S. Service Member eligible for DoD SkillBridge (command approval required)
Background in IT, operations, system administration, communications, avionics, cyber, or related military specialty
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes
Familiarity with Air Force environments, maintenance processes, or C2 operations (preferred but not required)
Basic understanding of system lifecycle, configuration control, or technical documentation
Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information

Preferred

Experience with CM tools (e.g., Git, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint)
Prior exposure to C2MS, theater C2 systems, AOC weapon system, or similar mission systems
Understanding of RMF, STIGs, or cybersecurity principles
