Responsibilities
Build and enhance our compliance automation platform to provide a clear view of organizational compliance posture
Take ownership of features across the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and deployment
Write clean, efficient, reusable, and well-tested code
Improve and maintain internal tools and portals (Intranet, Wiki, reporting tools, internal dashboards, etc.)
Rapidly prototype ideas and explore new technologies to improve our platforms and workflows
Collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver practical, maintainable solutions
Balance business needs with long-term software quality and maintainability
Qualification
Required
10+ years of hands-on software development experience
Strong hands-on coding skills (this is the primary focus of the role)
Deep, real-world experience with Node.js (backend, especially Express.js)
Deep, real-world experience with React.js (frontend)
Deep, real-world experience with PostgreSQL
Proven ability to write, debug, test, and optimize code efficiently
Solid experience with API design and development using Node.js
Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Solid experience with server-side templating (e.g., EJS or similar)
Solid experience with modern development practices: Agile, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, microservices
Solid experience with frontend technologies: HTML, CSS, React, Redux
Comfortable working independently and taking initiative in ambiguous environments
Comfortable with live coding interviews
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / IT or equivalent practical experience
Preferred
Experience with compliance or governance frameworks (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO, PCI, etc.)
Cloud or SRE experience
Some experience with system design or architecture (not the main focus)
