Responsibilities
Assume operational ownership of the existing HP Aruba LAN/WLAN environment, including switches, access points, RAPs, and ClearPass
Gain full working knowledge of Check Point firewall and VPN configurations, documenting current-state rules, policies, and known risks
Validate Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM configurations and establish baseline health checks
Respond to and resolve network incidents independently, following established change and incident processes
Reduce recurring network incidents through root-cause analysis and targeted remediation
Improve wireless stability and access control policy enforcement via Aruba ClearPass tuning and cleanup
Standardize firewall and VPN rule management to improve security posture and operational clarity
Deliver clear documentation for network topology, access policies, and escalation procedures
Proactively identify and implement improvements that increase network reliability, security, and performance
Partner effectively with infrastructure, security, and cloud teams to support hybrid connectivity initiatives (including Azure ExpressRoute, where applicable)
Establish repeatable operational practices that reduce downtime, improve mean-time-to-resolution, and increase confidence in the network environment
Serve as a trusted senior technical resource during audits, incidents, and infrastructure changes
Qualification
Required
Proven, hands-on experience supporting HP Aruba switching and wireless environments, including ClearPass
Deep operational experience with Check Point firewalls and traditional VPNs (site-to-site and remote access)
Strong working knowledge of Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM in enterprise environments
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in production under pressure
Experience operating in hybrid enterprise environments with on-prem and cloud connectivity
Preferred
Exposure to Azure networking and ExpressRoute
Experience improving network operations through documentation, standardization, or automation
