Responsibilities
Assist in analyzing current manufacturing workflows and suggest improvements
Participate in time studies and process mapping exercises
Support implementation of lean manufacturing principles
Collect and interpret production data to identify trends or inefficiencies
Use Excel or statistical software to generate reports and visualizations
Contribute to root cause analysis for production issues
Update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions
Maintain accurate records of project progress and findings
Prepare presentations for team meetings or leadership reviews
Work with engineering, quality, and operations teams to support product transitions
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on manufacturability
Communicate findings and ideas effectively across departments
Gain familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and MRP software
Observe and assist with equipment setup and troubleshooting
Learn about statistical process control and quality assurance methods
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Mechatronic or any other relevant area
Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required
Incoming sophomore year or higher
Demonstrated leadership and strong communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Successful completion of a background check & drug test
Commitment to working safely
Willingness to adhere to tobacco/vape-free campus policy
Self-motivated: demonstrates appropriate initiative with or without direct supervision
Hard worker: someone who works diligently to get tasks done in a timely and safe manner
Adaptability: the ability to make changes, and to be successful in changing environments
