System Engineer II

Responsibilities

Concept and requirements development, including decomposition and flow-down
Concept of Operations (CONOPS) development and design
Trade studies to bring new, advanced features to fielded system
Functional analysis of real world and training purpose
Collaboration with customers to bring new capabilities to the warfighter
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features, ensuring system integration and scalability
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and efficiency in complex environments
Light travel and off-hours testing (2nd or 3rd shift) may occasionally be required
This position requires exclusive onsite presence

Required

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Systems Engineering, or Mathematics and a minimum of 2 years of experience
Experience with tools such as DOORS
Experience in requirements development
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Preferred

Active Secret security clearance
Knowledge of radar systems (for example - Patriot System)
Experience with data analysis
Experience developing technical solutions to complex issues
Experience in embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications
Experience communicating and collaborating with cross functional teams and customers
Familiarity with software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
