Responsibilities
Coach, mentor and develop a group of electrical and mechanical engineers at different levels
Oversee individual and 8-12 group projects, including monitoring budgets and timelines, related to capital equipment, facilities and continuous improvement
Partner with the maintenance lead daily on project installs, plant shutdowns, timelines, etc
Work with purchasing to complete purchase requisitions for projects
Assist and lead PLC troubleshooting within the plant, all Allen-Bradley PLCs
Become the site engineering expert for all electrical problem solving
Champion strategic engineering planning, including developing long-term CapEx project goals
Oversee the plant layout and continuously develop improvements to the manufacturing process
Lead audits related to fire protection
Be willing to wear multiple hats and be an individual contributor to the engineering team
Act as the site lead for property casualty and risk assessments, including being the point of contact to the insurance broker
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Electrical Engineering highly preferred
At least 10-15 years of similar electrical engineering experience, with at least two years in a leadership role
Experience working in heavy manufacturing environments, ideally metals related
Extensive background working with high voltage (480V at minimum, ideally higher)
CapEx project management, including timelines and budgets
PLC troubleshooting and the ability to understand ladder logic
Ability to read blueprints
Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
