Responsibilities

Request updated Architectural Diagrams/System components from Application teams

Review updated threat model for architecture changes

Validate past Threat Analysis against the updated Architecture diagram and update based on changes to the diagram

If new threats are identified/needed, identify potential mitigating controls

Update existing identified threats/Map newly identified threats to corresponding MITRE ATT&CK Techniques (currently tied to NIST CSF)

Work with application teams to Collect Architecture diagrams & System components from App teams

Review the architecture diagram to develop questions and outline the various app/system components we think would be applicable for the threat model

Review initial components/questions with application teams to confirm our understanding of the applications & components

Based on the confirmed system components/Architecture diagrams, identify potential Threats and map them to MITRE ATT&CK Techniques

For each threat, identify potential Mitigating controls based on Industry mitigating controls and/or existing security controls in place at the client

Review identified threats with the application team to confirm identified threats are applicable for their applications
