Responsibilities
Performs maintenance and testing of protective relaying and control equipment along with associated equipment (CTs and PTs) and performs troubleshooting of protective relaying and other control schemes (such as MODs)
Provide routine inspection and care of substation batteries including replacing batteries as required
Install protective relay equipment including the wiring and installation of protective relay panels, pulling control cable, and providing assistance with the performance of acceptance tests of relays and other associated equipment such as current and potential transformers. Perform commissioning tests on new installations
Qualification
Required
Associate degree in Industrial Electronics or related field
Valid driver's license
Ability to obtain a DOT medical certification card
Demonstrate potential for success in the Technician - System Protection Training program by qualifying on an aptitude-based placement exercise
Qualifying on a behaviorally based structured interview
