Reliability / Maintenance Engineering Intern

The Reliability / Maintenance Engineering Intern will support maintenance and reliability teams in improving asset reliability and optimizing preventative maintenance programs through analysis and collaboration.

Responsibilities
Optimize and refine preventative maintenance (PM) tasks to improve efficiency and asset performance
Track and analyze repeat equipment failures to identify root causes and patterns
Support maintenance backlog cleanup, including work order review and prioritization
Conduct MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) analysis to support reliability decisions
Collaborate with maintenance technicians and reliability engineers to validate findings and improvement opportunities
Assist in standardizing reliability practices across Atlas Energy assets and locations
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related field
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills
Interest in equipment reliability, maintenance systems, and industrial operations
Familiarity with Excel; exposure to CMMS systems or reliability tools is a plus
Ability to work in both field and shop environments
Strong communication skills and attention to detail
