Responsibilities
Utilize Cisco wireless packet capture tools to perform on-demand access point, client, and SSID-level captures
Troubleshoot and resolve MAC-layer, authentication, and client connectivity issues
Analyze wireless performance metrics including:
CCA busy percentage
Channel utilization
Transmit retries
MCS distribution
Airtime fairness
Diagnose and remediate wireless performance degradation
Apply best practices to improve wireless efficiency and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional infrastructure and network teams
Maintain clear documentation of configurations, troubleshooting efforts, and resolutions
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of hands-on experience using Cisco wireless packet capture tools
Strong knowledge of wireless networking protocols and standards
Advanced troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
CCNP Wireless (or equivalent certification)
Experience in an enterprise healthcare environment
Background in wireless network design and implementation
Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools
