Responsibilities
Leading the technical migration of multiple systems into the AWS cloud environment
Designing and implementing scalable and secure architectures for containerized microservices using Kubernetes
Developing and maintaining Elasticsearch clusters and associated databases
Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes
Collaborating with cross-domain teams to deliver integrated solutions
Leading the migration of commercial enterprise GIS software to the cloud
Working with organizational leads to develop and execute a comprehensive migration strategy
Ensuring all solutions adhere to best practices for security, scalability, and reliability
Mentoring and guiding team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
Providing technical leadership and support for cloud-based initiatives and projects
Qualification
Required
Twenty (20) years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal Government is required
A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I required; Level II desired
Proven experience in leading cloud migration projects, specifically to AWS
Experience with Linux server security and administration
Strong expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and database management
Proficiency in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline
Experience with enterprise GIS software and its migration to the cloud is a plus
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer are preferred
