Responsibilities
Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods through analysis of key plant floor metrics and data such as cycle time, machine data, OEE and physical equipment layout
Seeks continuous improvement and implements countermeasures focused on safety, quality, delivery & cost
Designs products or systems such as tooling, instruments, controls, and automation systems by applying knowledge of engineering principles and coordination of implementation
Coordinates operation, maintenance and repair activities to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment
Supports daily production activities by monitoring process performance; trouble-shooting problems; and, as needed, implementing corrective actions
Oversees installation, operation, maintenance and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to Mubea specifications
Works with equipment designers and contractors to deliver cost-effective production processes
Leads and or provides input for the specification, design, build and launch of new processes & equipment
Analyzes existing and future production capacity requirements
Implements lean manufacturing initiatives through TPS, TPM and kaizen methods
Maintains a working knowledge of new technologies which may improve existing operations and makes recommendations accordingly
Qualification
Required
B.S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial) or equivalent technical degree
5+ years in an engineering role
Strong & effective verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional leadership, analytical, problem solving skills, and strong organizational skills
Knowledge of core manufacturing practices
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and/or other software
Preferred
Experience in automotive manufacturing and/or engineering and sales driven businesses
Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization
Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certification(s)
